The great historic cities of New York City, London, San Francisco and Edinburgh are steeped in stories as these cities have developed through the centuries. Linlithgow, the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots, was a strategic location for the Scottish royals between the Scottish capital and Stirling.

Now you can interact with maps for both these cities and the town, view photographs and archive film showing how these historical locations have changed over the years.

The names of streets may have changed, buildings may have been pulled dowm, but as you will see, life is essentially very much the same as times gone by.
